VISION, MISSION & VALUES
Paralympics New Zealand is affiliated to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as
the National Paralympic Committee, and is recognised by Sport and Recreation New Zealand
(SPARC) as the National Sports Organisation for disabled athletes.
Paralympics New Zealand also holds the international affiliation to the International
Organisations for the Disabled (IOSD) that cater for all physical and intellectual disabilities.
Paralympics New Zealand support and encourage opportunities for people with disabilities
to participate in sports, from regional, national and international levels.
Sports are offered through
a network of Regional ParaFed Associations, National disabled & able-bodied Sports Organisations,
clubs,
coaches and individuals.
Paralympics New Zealand provides athletes and coaches access to international competitions, such as the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and IPC World Championships.
