Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for New Zealand. PNZ is part of a worldwide social change movement, which uses the power of sport to positively influence community perceptions of disabled people and to promote a more diverse and inclusive society.
PNZ supports and celebrates the achievements of Para athletes at international and national competitions all year round. Every two years, PNZ leads the New Zealand Paralympic Team to the Paralympic Games. We also work with NZ members, key stakeholders and partners, to advocate for sport to become more accessible for disabled people and to support the creation of more systems and programmes to enable participation in Para sport.
The Board Appointment Panel is interested in hearing from interested applicants with governance experience, and a strong affinity to disability sport and equity for all, to fill up to three (3) elected positions.
Additionally, of particular interest are applicants with extensive experience in Para sport and disability sport, finance, government/public sector, or revenue generation/philanthropy.

- Continued focus on driving social change through the Para sport lens.
- Maintaining existing partnerships, and progressing new commercial and revenue opportunities.
- Progressing our Te Tiriti journey as an organisation.
