Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) selects and supports Para athletes and teams to attend international competitions. The pinnacel of these international competitions are the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games.

In addition, PNZ leads High Performance Training programmes and campaigns in the sports of Para swimming, Para cycling and Shooting Para sport.

The information on this page applies mostly to Para athletes, coaches and staff involved in Para sport High Performance programmes.

PNZ therefore has implemented overarching selection and investment criteria which are easily understood by coaches and Para athletes.
