Bio

Gabriella “Gaby” Smith is a Para swimmer. Born in Perth, she now lives in Christchurch, where she swims at the Vikings Swim Club.

Gaby has been swimming since she was 3 months old. She got into Para swimming through ParaFed Canterbury when she was around 11.

Gaby represented New Zealand at the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, where she placed 5th in the 400m Freestyle. In the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships in Manchester, Gaby showed she was maturing well, making two finals and placing 7th and 8th.
