Position description

Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is seeking an experienced medical professional to lead the health and medical team in the build-up to and during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Your ability to build trusting and confidential relationships with athletes and coaches as well as a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, will be a key success factor. Having previous Para sport medical knowledge will be desirable.

What you will bring to the role:

  • High performance sports medicine expertise in both clinic and international competition
  • Ability to lead and operationalise a high functioning health and medical team that meets the needs of Para athletes

This is a fixed term contract position until October 2024. Time commitment varies in the buildup to Paris 2024 and is outlined in the Position Description as well as the full details of the role.

Domestic and international travel will be a requirement of the role in the build-up to Paris 2024.
