He began as a Development Manager in his beloved Australian Rules Football and then progressed to the Performance Manager and finally Head Coach. Not long after that he had the opportunity to work within the Australian Institute of Sport system before finally beginning his career as a Performance Director in Australia for the Olympic Sports of Diving, Cycling and Triathlon. Post 2004 he moved to New Zealand to work as the Performance Director for Cycling NZ and then was fortunate enough to be offered a Senior Position with the International Cycling Union in Switzerland. Since that time he has been working with HPSNZ as a Performance Team Leader taking up opportunities that have been presented to him to work within a number of National Sporting Organisations. Michael’s role within PNZ is to work with and support athletes, coaches and staff to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
