Patrick Cooper #55

Patrick Cooper, New Zealand Paralympian

New Zealand’s most decorated winter Paralympian, Patrick secured six medals (four gold, one silver and one bronze) across three Paralympic Winter Games earning a silver medal in the Men’s Slalom LW4 at Innsbruck 1988. Four years later at Albertville 1992 the versatile Para alpine skier memorably earned double gold in the Men’s Slalom LW4 and Men’s Super-G LW4 events. This was a feat he was to repeat at Lillehammer 1994 when he successfully defended his two gold medals and also picked up a bronze in the Men’s Giant Slalom LW4.

Patrick officially received his ‘numbered’ pin as part of The Celebration Project in Hamilton in June 2019.
