PNZ Board Election December 2025

In January 2025, three Board Members were elected to the PNZ Board by the PNZ Members – Sian Ruth, Mike Bishop and Blair Gilbert.  In accordance with the transitional provisions set out in Schedule 2 of the PNZ Constitution, the terms of each of the three Board Members were required to be decided by the Board Appointment Panel (BAP).

The BAP has carried out this task and decided on the following terms for these PNZ Board members:

• 1-year term (to 31 January 2026): Sian Ruth
• 3-year term (to 31 January 2028): Mike Bishop
• 4-year term (to 31 January 2029): Blair Gilbert

Additionally, as per the transition provisions in the PNZ Constitution, the BAP has considered whether the vacancy arising in Sian Ruth’s position (on 31 January 2026) should be advertised. The BAP has taken into account the competencies and needs of the PNZ Board as required under the Constitution, along with Sian’s agreement to seek re-election. The BAP has decided not to advertise this position and is recommending Sian Ruth to PNZ Members for re-election, for a further and final 4-year term (to 31 January 2030).
