ActivePure to support NZ Paralympic Team at Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

The NZ Paralympic Team will be receiving an additional layer of air and surface protection against illness including airborne viruses as they gear up for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

ActivePure, renowned for its cutting-edge air and surface disinfection technology, will be used by the team to ensure indoor spaces remain clean and safe throughout their time in Paris. Proven effective against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in both air and on surfaces, ActivePure offers a vital layer of defence against viruses and other pathogens.

ActivePure units are being supplied through a continuation of the Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) partnership with Big Blue, a leading New Zealand water and air hygiene company and the exclusive ActivePure partner in Australasia.

Raylene Bates, Chef de Mission for the NZ Paralympic Team, thanked ActivePure: “I want to say a big thank you to ActivePure for their generous support of the New Zealand Paralympic Team.  Performing at this level requires athletes to be healthy. Having ActivePure partnering with the team provides confidence that there is a critical layer of protection for our Kiwi athletes and their support staff, ensuring that they can reach their highest potential at this pinnacle event.”

Paul Wiggans, Managing Director of Big Blue, echoed these sentiments: “We have a real focus on partnerships with high performance environments helping out again after seeing the positive impact of ActivePure at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics. We wish the team all the best in Paris and look forward to seeing them make history for New Zealand.”

ActivePure, originating in NASA space programmes, stands as a globally leading indoor air safety technology. Widely adopted in New Zealand, particularly within the health sector, ActivePure, through Big Blue, aims to ensure safer indoor air for all shared spaces.

With extensive deployments across New Zealand, including in the MIQ network and throughout New Zealand’s hospitals, ActivePure protects hundreds of thousands of Kiwis. Available for all indoor environments, ActivePure is accessible to organisations throughout New Zealand and Australia, contributing to overall community wellbeing.
