We are excited to launch Gotcha Boccia, a 6-week community Boccia programme, in partnership with Boccia New Zealand, Parafed Manawatu and Parafed Taranaki.

Who is Gotcha Boccia for?

Gotcha Boccia is an introductory, fun and inclusive community Boccia programme that welcomes participants with physical, vision, and intellectual impairments, of all genders, ages and abilities.

How to get involved

Get involved in Manawatu, starting on Thursday 18 May 4.00pm at Massey Recreation Centre, Orchard Road, Fitzherbert, Palmerston North 4474. Register for Manawatu.

Get involved in Taranaki, starting on Wednesday 10 May 5.30pm at Paritutu Bowling Club, 445 Saint Aubyn Street, Moturoa, New Plymouth 4310. Register for Taranaki.

What is Boccia?

Boccia is a Paralympic sport. It’s a game of strategy and accuracy, originally designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy, but now including athletes with impairments that affect motor skills.

Gotcha Boccia is open to everyone to try the sport, regardless of impairment.

12 New Zealanders have represented their country in Boccia at the Paralympic Games.
