It is with great sadness we learned of Susie Simcock passing away on 29 May, aged 81.
Susie was an amazing advocate for the development of Para sport and she was passionate about our development Para athletes and our New Zealand Paralympians. Her legacy to Paralympics New Zealand will forever be the annual Carbine Club Golf Day and the absolute passion and energy that she put in to ensure it was successful and enjoyable event whilst generating the greatest possible funds that she could for Para athletes through the Sir Denis Blundell Charitable Trust.
It was Susie’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PNZ. Every dollar you give will help PNZ advocate for Paralympians and Para athletes across New Zealand and support the creation of more systems and programmes to enable participation in Para sport.
