Paralympian Sophie Pascoe has won a Bronze medal, now her second medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Taking the medal tally for the New Zealand Paralympic Team to 5 medals including 2 gold, 2 silver and a bronze.
Pascoe placed third in the Women’s 100m Backstroke S9 in a time of 1:11.15. She led American Hannah Aspden at the halfway mark by 0.27 seconds, but in the final 25m tired to finish third behind Nuria Marques Soto from Spain who took silver and Aspden who took out the Gold.
