William Stedman takes bronze for New Zealand in Tokyo

William Stedman wins bronze in Men's 400m - T36

Paralympian William Stedman has won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Taking the medal tally for the New Zealand Paralympic Team to 7 medals including 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.

Stedman went into the final ranked 3rd fastest and won a bronze medal in the Men’s 400m T36 at his second Paralympic Games, only 16 hours after yesterday jumping a massive 5.64m on his final jump of the Men’s Long Jump T36 to rocket into silver medal position.

The event was won by James Turner (Australia) in a new Paralympic record time of 52.80 and silver went to Evgenii Shvetsov (RPC) in a time of 53.60
