Phillipa Gray MNZM #176

Philippa Gray, New Zealand Paralympian

Phillipa competed at the London 2012 Paralympic Games in Para cycling, where she claimed the medal trifecta: gold and world record in the pursuit, silver in the road time trial and bronze in the track time trial. As a visually impaired Para cyclist Phillipa rode a tandem bike with sighted pilot Laura Thompson. Phillipa became a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2013, for her services to cycling.

Since then, Phillipa has retired from Para cycling and now lives in Australia and has welcomed a baby girl to her family.

Phillipa received her ‘numbered’ Paralympic pin as part of the Celebration Project in March 2020.
