Team Psychologist – Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games

Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is seeking an experienced performance/clinical psychologist to join the NZ Paralympic Team in the build-up to and during the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. 

Your ability to build trusting and confidential relationships with athletes and support staff as well as a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, will be a key success factor. Having previous Para sport knowledge and experience is desirable. 

Attributes we are seeking for the role:  

  • A background in high performance sports psychology, in both a clinical and international multi-sport environment  
  • Ability to lead and enhance the performance needs of Para athletes and support staff

This is a fixed-term contract position until April 2026. Time commitment varies in the countdown to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games and is outlined in the Position Description 

Domestic and international travel may be a requirement of the role in the countdown to Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. Please note that travel to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games is dependent on final team size and accreditation availability.
