The Paralympics New Zealand Annual General Meeting today celebrated activity and achievements within Para sport and of PNZ over a 12-month period (January 2021 to December 2021), shared in the highlights video above (1 minute 45 seconds).

It has been an incredible year for the PNZ family. Due to COVID-19 we have had a summer and winter Paralympics within 7 months of each other. This has been challenging to deliver but exhilarating and a thrilling watch. It has been wonderful to see the ever increasing media coverage our Paralympians attract.

The PNZ 2021 Annual Report and Financials provides a comprehensive review of the year.

At the AGM, PNZ was thrilled to announce that Sandra Blewett, MBE, has been awarded the PNZ Order of Merit for outstanding services to PNZ and Para sport in New Zealand. Sandra Blewett, has been involved with Paralympic Sport in New Zealand for over 25 years. Sandra has dedicated most of her life to swimming, teaching, and coaching swimming, in particular young disabled people and has contributed significantly to PNZ and Para sport in NZ.
