Born in Lincoln (Canterbury) in 1950 Wayne has been involved in Wheelchair tennis for a very long time. The right handed player was involved in the creation of Wheelchair Tennis NZ in 1979 at the tennis courts in Hagley Park. Wayne was part of the New Zealand Paralympic Team competing at Sydney 2000 where he made his Paralympic debut and finished in the 1/32nd of the Men’s single final. Wayne also competed in the doubles with Paralympian #119 Paul Britnell. The New Zealand pair lost against Poland in the 1/8th final.
