Paralympian Grant Buchanan

Grant competed at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games, along with 16 other New Zealand Paralympians who collectively won 17 medals. Grant is tetraplegic and competed in Para athletics and won 2 bronze medals in discus and shot put.

Following the Paralympic Games, Grant competed at the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Tour and won the following titles: B doubles Australian Open, Quad singles and C doubles Japan Open, Quad singles NZ Open and C singles US Open.?

Grant lives in Christchurch and works at the University of Canterbury as a lecturer and teacher.
