Performance Psychology Co-Lead (New Zealand Paralympic Team, Paris 2024)

Job type: Fixed term contactor (from appointment until one month post Paris 2024 Paralympic Games finish).

Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is seeking an experienced performance psychologist to co-lead the NZ Paralympic Team in the build-up to and during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Your ability to build trusting and confidential relationships with athletes and support staff as well as a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external will be a key success factor. Having previous Para sport knowledge and experience will be desirable.

What you will bring to the role:

    • High performance sports performance psychology in both clinical and international multi sport competition

    • Ability to co-lead whilst enhancing the performance needs of Para athletes and support staff

This is a fixed term contract position until October 2024. Time commitment varies in the buildup to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and is outlined in the Position Description as well as the full details of the role.

Domestic and International travel will be a requirement of the role in the build-up to Paris 2024.
