Chris Orr, New Zealand Paralympian

Chris featured as one of the trailblazing NZ Paralympic Team (NZPT) that claimed a combined five medals at the Innsbruck 1984 Winter Paralympic Games.

The vision impaired skier claimed silver in the Men’s Downhill B1 as well as a pair of fourth place finishes in the Men’s Alpine Combination B1 and Men’s Giant Slalom B1.

Auckland-based Chris now works at the Blind Foundation as an Access and Awareness Advisor. 

He officially received his ‘numbered’ Paralympic pin as part of The Celebration Project in Auckland in May 2019.
