Paralympian Graeme Marett

Graeme was a member of New Zealand’s very first Paralympic Games Team competing at the Tel Aviv 1968 Paralympic Games. He went onto represent New Zealand again at the Heidelberg 1972 and the Toronto 1976 Paralympic Games. Graeme competed in Para archery, Para athletics, Para swimming and Para table tennis

He was particularly successful in Heidelberg 1972 where he won a silver medal in the discus 2 and a bronze in the pentathlon 2. Graeme has passed away.

Graeme was represented by his family to receive his ‘numbered’ Paralympic pin as part of The Celebration Project in Dunedin in February 2021.
