Mark Edwards #44

Mark Edwards, New Zealand Paralympian

Mark Edwards was part of New Zealand’s first ever medal winning Paralympic Winter Games Team at Innsbruck 1984. The team won a combined five medals including Mark’s bronze medal in the Men’s Downhill LW3. Mark also finished fifth in the Men’s Giant Slalom LW3.

Mark was also selected to compete at the Innsbruck 1988 Paralympic Games but did not attend due to an injury.

Mark has spina bifida resulting in a weakness in both his lower limbs. Mark works in customer service for the Christchurch City Council.
