Liam competed at his first Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004 in Boccia. He was New Zealand’s youngest ever international Boccia representative and has been able to travel and compete in a wide range of international events. At the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, Liam was part of the mixed team of four that claimed a silver medal and the first ever Paralympic medal in the sport of Boccia for New Zealand, after beating world champions Spain.
Hard work and belief in each other were the secret to the team’s success. Four years later, Liam represented New Zealand again at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
Liam works as a healthcare manager in Auckland.
