Craig made his Paralympic debut at the first ever Paralympic Winter Games where the New Zealand Paralympic Team competed in Geilo in 1980. He entered the giant slalom 3A and slalom 3A events. Four years later, Craig was selected again to represent his country at the Innsbruck 1984 Paralympic Winter Games, being the only returning Paralympian with 7 other debutant Paralympians. He competed in the downhill, giant slalom and slalom in the LW5/7 class.
Today Craig is married with a daughter and son, he lives in Ashburton and still enjoys skiing.
